3/1 Update from MBU

Try to print off course requirement sheet for your merit badges (found on-line) prior to attending MBU and then please remember to bring paper/notebook and pen/pencil so you can document your accomplishments for the merit badge (s). Bring a water bottle as well.
You will get individual notes from classes but some requirements:
First Aid: bring a personal first aid kit if you want to complete the class.
Law: requirement 4 has to be done outside of class
Paint: please bring old clothes since you will actually be painting around camp, not just a canvas.
Sculpture: bring a sturdy box about the size computer paper comes in to safely take home your projects.
Orienteering: wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking and you can bring a compass if you have one otherwise you can borrow camp compass

Climbing complete by March 7 or you won’t be able to climb!

Finally, bring a good attitude and willingness to learn. Our instructors have put together some great badges that are very interactive.

MBU is now sold out.

Climbing MB has prework to be printed out and submitted to email address in document header by March 1st.

  • Early Rate Youth – $12 –  Patch, Lunch and two classes through February 19th…(Pay by Tuesday February 16th).  Plus $10 transportation to Troop 48.
  • Regular Rate Registration $20 begins February 20th.  Plus $10 transportation to Troop 48.
  • Registration closes end of the day on March 5th.
  • Adults $10 – Patch and Lunch
  • Meals will be provided through the buffet line.
  • Lunches will be staggered.

Sequoyah Council Events and Activities Refund Policy

The Sequoyah Council will process refunds for activities fees under these conditions:

Requests must be made in writing and submitted to the council service center via mail, fax, or email. Requests must give scouts name, unit number, activity for which a refund is being requested, and the reason for the request.

All refund requests must be received NO LATER THAN FIVE DAYS after the event is completed. Requests received after this time will not be processed.

Requests for refund made:

            Two weeks or more before the activity:     100% refund

Less than two weeks and up to five days after event:  85% refund

Six or more days after the event:     No refund

 

Reasons for requesting a refund:

1. Serious illness or injury preventing attendance

2. Death in family preventing attendance

3. The event or activity is cancelled or rescheduled

4. Scheduling conflict or family commitment

 

If the event or activity is cancelled or rescheduled, the Sequoyah Council will transfer fees paid, to an upcoming event during the same calendar year with no penalty or will refund the full amount paid. Fees of less than $5 will be considered donations and will not be refunded.

All refunds will be made by check within 30 days of the close of the event and will be mailed. In the case where a unit has registered, the unit will receive the refund.

This is the standard policy in place for all District and Council activities, unless otherwise published. Special situations such as Council Contingents (Philmont, Jamboree, etc) have special refund requirements.
