First Class Orienteering

Come enjoy this Saturday afternoon outdoors and learn about Orienteering, maps, and how to use a compass. This event will cover First Class Requirement 4a and 4b. It is a perfect opportunity for scouts wishing to complete needed requirements as well as start the Orienteering Merit Badge. The event will consist of about .5 hours of instructions followed by a 100 meter pace course and running a beginner level Orienteering Course on Duck Island.  Follow up sessions will be offered periodically to help scouts complete all Merit Badge requirements.
