OUTING: 2023 Operation Merit Badge Opportunity
- Dates and Key Times: February 4, 2023 (Saturday)

- 9 A.M. to 4:00 PM As Required to complete class
- Noon to 1 P.M. Lunch
- 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM LNT Cleanup

- Adult Leader NEEDS: Sign up online @ T48.org
- Troop 48 Merit Badge Counselors (MBC) are offering to conduct all four Citizenship Classes
- Scouts can select 1 class to attend – Priority for Citizen in Society will first be given to Life rank scouts, and then Star.
- Help open and close the facilities, provide oversight for youth LNT efforts
III. Cost: Each Scout bring $2 cash on Saturday 1/23 for facility donation pay to Julieann White.
- Uniform Expectations: Informal Class B with face mask

Personal water bottle with name/initials displayed
Bag lunch
Paper, pencils/pens
Smartphone/tablet can be useful for searching for information, if allowed by family
- Trip Description
Troop 48 is hosting our own merit badge university (not open to other troops) to focus on four merit badge opportunities.
Expectation is that the scouts will arrive ready to show their stuff by engaging in the class having read about the merit badge from T48.org, merit badge pamphlet (check out of troop library) and other sources.
