Makeup Tweetsie Trail Ride I

Makeup Tweetsie trail rides (or BONUS miles!, depending on how you look at it) will be this weekend.

o   WHAT:  More Tweetsie trail rides to get your 15 mile rides in if you missed one (or two).  Or if you just want to ride some more before the 25 mile rides coming up.

o   WHEN: 

• • FRIDAY, 14MAY2021, 5:00pm
  • AND SATURDAY morning, 15MAY2021, 10:00am

o   WHERE:  Meet at the Tweetsie trail head parking lot in JohnsonCity.

• Alabama St, Johnson City, TN 37601

Just a word of warning, there are LOTS of stop signs on the trail and I expect everyone to do a full, foot down stop at each one.  The stops in Elizabethton are pretty sketchy because of the high traffic running parallel to the street.  STOP AND LOOK at traffic coming from in front and behind you too.  These are the cars that might be turning onto a side street where the trail crosses.

We’ll probably be walking our bikes through a couple of busy traffic lights too.

If anyone needs a bike to borrow let me now.  I can bring a loaner.

PLAN FOR 25 mile rides coming up:

                I’m still going to watch the weather closely, but we’re going to be moving to the Abington trailhead of the Creeper Trail in the following weekends.  With school getting out soon we’ll have 25milers on Fridays or Saturdays.
