Cycling Merit Badge: 25 mile ride

• WHAT:  25-mile ride on the Creeper trail from Abingdon VA trailhead.

• WHERE:  Meet at the Creeper trail head parking lot in Abingdon, VA.

REMEMBER:  RECORD EACH OF YOUR RIDES IN YOUR MERIT BADGE WORKSHEETS!  For each ride I’ll expect you to have something written down for the following:

• DATE
• MILES
• Route
• Most interesting things seen (yes, it’s in the workbook!)

To receive credit for this and any future rides all participants MUST:

• Have a helmet
• Ride safely – no horseplay
• Have water
• Bring a bicycle in good mechanical condition
• Be prepared for rain, just in case. No special gear is required, just plan on being wet if there are afternoon showers.
