We will have a wonderful day full of opportunities.

ZOO RULES

• All persons visiting the zoo must have a good time!
• Be kind to the animals. This is their home.
• Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents and caregivers are responsible for the behavior of their children.
• Please don’t feed the animals. They are on special diets.
• Please leave flowers and plants for others to enjoy.
• Leave your pets at home, not in the car.
• Guests with service animals, please check in at the Ranger Station before entering the zoo. All service animals must have proof of rabies vaccination.
• Please leave radios, glass containers and straws in your car as they are a hazard to the animals.
• For your safety, wear shirts and shoes while in the zoo.
• Please observe the designated smoking areas throughout the zoo.
• No skates, bicycles, skateboards, roller shoes or hoverboards are permitted.
• Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on zoo grounds.
• Firearms are not permitted on zoo grounds.

Features an offering of 1 Merit Badge that will be mostly completed at the Zoo.

1. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it…. I don’t know what it is! Take a zoo adventure to learn more about the birds of Knoxville and be involved in international bird research. This workshop meets most of the requirements of the BSA Bird Study Merit Badge.

Assuming enough adult leadership, you have four options for the visit:

1. Visit only the Zoo,
2. Visit the Zoo and complete the Merit Badge course, or
3. Visit the Zoo and visit the Navitat Canopy Adventure at the IJAMS Nature Center.
4. Visit the Zoo and complete the Merit Badge course, and visit the Navitat Canopy.

Navitat Participation Requirements

Navitat Waiver (Including Assumption of Risk and Agreements of Release and Indemnification) Must be signed and turned in prior to departure.

PLEASE SIGNUP AND PAY BY June 7th so that we may reserve a spot and the facilities may enlist the necessary resources for our group size.
