We’ve done 10 mile rides and 15 mile rides. Now it’s time to get serious and go for 25 miles on the creeper trail.
TWO 25 mile Creeper trail rides will be this weekend. Don’t worry if you can’t make these, there will be more 25s before the 50 mile ride.
o WHAT: 25 mile rides on the Creeper trail from Abingdon VA trailhead.

- AND SATURDAY morning, 22MAY2021, 10:00am
o WHERE: Meet at the Creeper trail head parking lot in Abingdon, VA.

If anyone needs a bike to borrow let me now. I can bring a loaner.

The fine print…
You should work toward a goal of completing a 25 mile ride in a total of 3 hours to prepare for the upcoming 50 mile ride requirement.
Bring plenty of water and some snacks to get you through lunch. We’ll stop at the midway point to eat.
REMEMBER: RECORD EACH OF YOUR RIDES IN YOUR MERIT BADGE WORKSHEETS! For each ride I’ll expect you to have something written down for the following:
- DATE
- MILES
- Route
- Most interesting things seen (yes, it’s in the workbook!)
To receive credit for this and any future rides all participants MUST:
* Have a helmet
* Ride safely – no horseplay
* Have water
* Bring a bicycle in good mechanical condition
* Be prepared for rain, just in case. No special gear is required, just plan on being wet if there are afternoon showers.
