As schools begin the Fall semester, Troop 48 would like to remind scouts that the regular troop meeting is 7-8:30pm with a few adults willing to stay until 9pm to work on individual advancement. For merit badges, it is the scout’s responsibility to contact the counselor to let them know you are ready to proceed.  Informal (Class B) uniforms are expected.

Patrol Scribes are expected to have a regular black pencil or a blue/black pen to complete the Attendance sheets.  Yellow and thin red do not work!

Eagle Court of Honor (Note that date moved up to August 11 from the 18).  Cutoff for recognition remains August 4th for the bulletin to be printed and awards purchased.

Scouts working on Scout thru First Class ranks: It is advantageous to bring your scout handbook to have a book check to align your progress with troop records. You may be close to the next rank, so the troop can try to arrange opportunities for you to complete the remaining requirements.

Merit Badge Assistance can be found at https://www.scouting.org/skills/merit-badges/Digital Resource Guides support efforts towards requirements and foster self-paced learning experience with interactive content.  Very helpful to help guide learning to finish off merit badges from MBU and summer camp.
