Communication survey
This Communication survey is being sent out to everyone. Please fill it out. We are looking to find the best way to communicate with the 134 registered members of Troop 48.
Thank you to Mayor Paul Montgomery who visited our Jan 7th troop meeting.
Finalize plans for Jan. 17-19 Winter Camp transportation, housing, and packing. Collect any remaining payments (registration is closed).
8-9 February is the Continuous Campfire/Scouting for Food/Scout Sunday at CHPC
This event does overlap with Winterfest.
A possible ski trip will be discussed at each troop meeting, beginning next week, including where and when to go depending on weather and skill of interested participants. If interested, please let Mr. Monk know. We will probably decide on a Tuesday night to go the following weekend.

Save the Date Boone Trail Camporee May 2-4, 2025
The District is planning a district wide Camporee on May 2- 4, 2025. They are in contact with Natural Tunnel State Park but details have not been finalized. Look for updates in the future.

Cumberland Island Expedition, May 24-31, 2025. Openings are available.
Please register and make a $100 deposit to Mr. Browning ASAP.
Attention all Cumberland Island Expedition XVI members. T-shirt design competition!! Please submit a T-shirt design. The winning design will be our Expedition T-shirt.
NASA Space Camp July 18-20 Pathfinder program
Please consider this trip and register on T48.org and pay a $100 non refundable deposit to Mr. Browning ASAP. We have a minimum trip size of 16 and a maximum of 25.
Philmont Cavalcade 2026
Please register now and pay a $150 deposit. There are a few spots remaining. Please see Jerry Browning if you have interest. Must be Age 14-20, or 13 and completed 8th Grade by 7/5/2026. Philmont cost $1,365/person. There will be additional costs for transportation.
