Camp Davy Crockett Summer Camp is one of the best and biggest trips Boy Scouts has to offer. You get to do merit badges for a week while camping. You can also swim in the pool during your free time. COPE is one of the best activities there as you can zipline and do rock-climbing. It is hot and sunny as it is during Summer. We recently got a new dining hall. Most of the time you can enjoy the sunset and water with your friends or shoot guns at the wild frontier. We also have a skit competition and compete with other patrols. There’s also fun activities on camp such as the Polar Bear Swim and Up With The Sun Fun Run. You can either sleep in a cabin with others or pitch your own tent . 53 scouts went on this trip from our patrol alone. It also has “Eagle Bound” which is great for all, but mostly newer scouts as it does Tenderfoot, First Class, and Second Class requirements in the handbook. You can take up to 4 classes for a week long and you wake up at 6:30 and go to sleep at 11:00 with taps. Overall it’s a very fun event with a wide selection of merit badges.
