Shooting Fair Weekend!

Troop 48 CDC Shooting Fair, Saturday, Nov 4th, 8 AM – Sunday, Nov 5th, 6 PM 

Prepare for winter weather camping ’30s overnight, and a time change we will lose an hour.

Pumpkin Patch:  Volunteers needed for pumpkin patch!!!

November 1 – 4.  Two-hour slots from 11 a.m. to7 pm 

Service to others :

For the next two Saturday we are organizing work days to help the Brandby family restart and clear out materials that need to be hauled away. 

Where: 2395 Rock Springs Rd, Kingsport

When: Sat. Nov. 4th or 11th noon-4pm

What: Bring long sleeves, gloves, boots, mask, and any demolition tools you can.

It’s that time of year again!!!  Scouts and adults, if you are not feeling well, have been around anyone not feeling well, or are part of a group exposed to someone who tested for Covid-19 or flu, please skip any patrol meeting or troop outing during that week. Please keep everyone safe!

Recharter registration is done. Thank you and congratulations!!

We will finalize voting for 2024. One last chance to pitch your favorite trip !

Winter Camp (Jan. 12-15, 2024) Registration is open. Register here right now and pick desired classes. See Pages 8 and 9 of the event guide.

Spring Camporee (March 23-24, 2024) – Save the Date.  Activities on Saturday (Frontier Experience, Field Games, STEM/NOVA, COPE elements, Live Music, Cowboy Action Shooting) with an opportunity for overnight camping.

Summer Camp (June 16-22, 2024) class registration coming soon in November.  If you are interested in hard-to-get classes like BSA Snorkeling, Cooking MB, or Welding MB then talk to Mr. Hasler about your preferences to sign you up when it opens.  Class catalog    

Troop 48’s aluminum service project recycles cans and other aluminum scrap.  Collect and bring into the troop meets for the service patrol to handle.

Leadership Training:

Class:  Wilderness First Aid Class

Instructor:  Wes Miller – 

Dates:  12/1-3 – Start after school/work on 12/1 and finish afternoon 12/3.  Exact times TBD.

Location:  CHPC and Offsite on Sunday Morning

Requirements – Must be 14 years old to earn certificate & patch – Serious students of WFA should still consider registering.

Registration Fee – $100 + Provided Meals (TBD)

WFA Kits – Full & Backpacking Kits available for purchase
