TROOP 48 Patrol Checklist November 1, 2022

Just a reminder if you are sick stay home! If you have been exposed to sickness but feel well wear a mask. This is RSV, FLU, COVID, and pneumonia season!! Let’s keep the Troop members healthy:)

Last meeting to wear the casual Class B uniform!  We will be in formal Class A uniform starting November 5, 2022, at Webelos overnight and November 5th meeting until the May elections of 2023. 

Uniform inspection sheets are available in the wire racks to guide patch placement.

NOVEMBER 1 – Cutoff for advancement to be recognized at the November 15th Court of Honor

      11/1  = Anatomy session where Noah Rutherford and a classmate will have cadaver organs and parts (plus some gloves) for a short talk then will let anyone interested a chance to touch, pick up, and hold the parts. ( Voluntary involvement.)

November 1 is the last week for the current IOLS class

If you were unable to attend the current IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills) course, please check out the next one offered in November at Camp Davy Crockett

Registration is open for Lost Sea Adventure December 3-4

Experience the Wild Cave Tour! Exploring the Lost Sea will prove to be fun and educational and will not be forgotten for years to come.  This is an overnight tour with sleeping in the cave.  “A Scout is Clean but not afraid to get Dirty”, Mike Rowe.

Planning – Winter Camp!! Registration is open. 

CDC camp staff have been busy putting together a great camp program that will showcase the best of Scouting.  The program has something for everyone–traditional merit badges and Crockett Badges (special ones that can only be earned at Winter Camp) will be offered.  Also adult training/classes.  

January 13-16, 2023

The cost is      $125 for Scouts ($100 if paid by 12/16/22)      and $60 for adult leaders.

June 18-24, 2023 Summer Camp 

Class registration has opened, so if there is a merit badge class at camp that you really would like to take, but fills up quickly… (such as Cooking which only has two-morning slots left plus an afternoon session),  Inform Vic Hasler of your choices.  Paper copies of the one-page worksheet are available in the wire racks.

•CHPC, trunk or treat on Oct.29 we would appreciate candy donations and help just come by 4-6

Super Trips 2023!!! 

July 19 – July 28, 2023, at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. Registration opened on March 27 and online registration can be completed at https://jamboree.scouting.org/.

Registration closed for Troop Super trips to keep up with payment details and plans.
