Scouts can sign up for classes once the $26 youth deposit is paid to Mr. Browning.  Paper copies of the sign-up worksheet will be in the wire racks which need to be given to Mr. Hasler for your choices, including preferred time slot. Most classes have a hard maximum of 25 students with as few as six allowed for Archery. Some classes have minimum age limitation, while others have fees to cover the cost of supplies.  See the Class Catalog for details.

For new scouts (joining November 2021 or later) or those who need a boost, half-day Eagle Bound focuses on the skills needed for early ranks. Troop 48 also recommends Swimming merit badge as underpinning for all water activities. (Note to parents: Swimming also ensures your scout showers at least once a day.) From there, pick activities which sound interesting to you.

Full are:  9am Crockett’s Wild Frontier Marksmanship Program, Fishing, Robotics, Water Sports, and Welding. 10am Cooking, Emergency Prep, and Fly Fishing are Full.  11am Chess, Engineering, Mammal Study, and Motorboating are Full.  2pm Full are Archery, Rifle Shooting, Water Sports, and Welding.  4pm Water Sports. 5pm Snorkeling BSA.  Wait List option does allow you to sign up for/hold an alternative.  Check out this Class Attendees Report on Pages 4-6 for Week 2 to what is available.
