WHAT IS THIS?: It’s an “Adventure meeting“!
[avatar user=”cggarrett” size=”thumbnail” align=”left” link=”file” /]This is an event for adults.
All adult leaders interested in learning more about the BSA climbing program may attend. To be clear, you don’t have to be trained to participate on this day trip. The climbing instructors will be previewing the Backbone Rock area and practicing setup on 2APR2022 for the Troop48 event 8-10APR1022. Of course, once we’ve set up a climb or rappel it will be there for anyone attending to try it out. This portion of the event is an advertisement to adult leaders that think they might want to become more involved in the Troop48 climbing program. You can learn how much fun it is and we can start making arrangements for future training.
OK, that sounds neat. WHERE AND WHEN is it?:
Well be getting started at Backbone Rock about 10am on Saturday, 2APR2022. Ridesharing can be arranged on request.
Why?:
Like I said before, this is an advertisement to adult leaders that think they might want to become more involved in the Troop48 climbing program and to learn how much fun it can be.”
AND –> We can really use your assistance at the 8-10APR2022 troop trip. For example, you don’t have to be trained to help with getting gear from the bottom of a rappel back to the top.
BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANT —> YOU can contribute to keep this program running for the next class of scouts in Troop48!
