Bicycling opportunity — The Chip Hale Center’s Ride Like Hale

This is a public event, not associated with T48, but still a very good opportunity for a scout (with a buddy or parent) to get one of the longer cycling merit badge rides completed.  There will be loads of people there and lots of nice bicycles.  This is a change to participate in a well organized, supported road ride.  Check out their website here –>  Ride Like Hale (chiphalecenter.org)

–  21 mile route would count for one of the 15 mile ride requirements.

–  36 mile route would count for one of the 25 mile ride requirements.

–  62 mile route would count for the 50 mile ride requirement – and you could say that you have done a “metric century”.  NOTE:  50 miles of this would need to be done within the merit badge time limit.
