Join Doc McCoy (of Doc’s Rocks – Gem Mine Adventure) in a day of fossil hunting right here in Kingsport. Doc informed me that this has been a promising site in the past and he expects to find some great oceanic fossils.
Meet at Hardies at 1401 S. John B Dennis Hwy in Kingsport at 10:00 AM. The dig will be on the hill behind Hardies. The cost will be $40 per person. This event will help satisfy requirements for the Mining in Society Merit Badge to be taught during the Emerald Mine Trip on Sept. 15th – 17th.
