Grant is a Life Scout and student at DB who is actively working toward achieving his Eagle Scout rank. A former member of the Wolf Patrol, Grant has always been an engaged participant, stepping up to serve as Assistant Patrol Leader and taking on several key leadership roles within Troop 48. A talented trumpet player, he has served as the troop’s Bugler for several years, in addition to being a dedicated member of the Color Guard and the youth Quartermaster.
An avid outdoorsman, Grant is deeply passionate about service work, camping, and backpacking. Some of his favorite Scouting experiences include backpacking the rugged trails of Philmont Scout Ranch and participating in the Klondike Derby. His remarkable dedication to his troop, his community, and the outdoors earned him the distinguished honor of being named the 2025 Scout of the Year.
Looking to the future, Grant is focused on helping Troop 48 grow by expanding recruitment opportunities and reinforcing foundational Scout skills. He believes in taking pride in this knowledge to help the troop embody the core mission of the Boy Scouts of America: preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
