Gwen’s Eagle rank Announcement!
Congratulations to Gwen Danger as Troop 48’s newest Eagle Scout. We are so proud of this young lady for all her accomplishments! Her Eagle project was to lead the building of five benches along the disc golf course at Warriors Path State Park.
Reminder: First L.E.C. Meeting of the Year The first Lodge Executive Committee (L.E.C.) meeting of the year is coming up this Thursday, January 23rd. It will take place at the Sequoyah Council Service Center, located at: 129 Boone Ridge Drive Johnson City, TN 37615 Food will be provided starting at 6:30 PM The official meeting will begin at 7:00 PM |

- February 7-9 Get signed up for continuous campfire, and scouting for food!!! Summer Camp – June 15-21 (week earlier! But usual starting Fathers Day) at Camp Davy Crockett
We have confirmed our reservation for Week 1. Registration for classes !!!! Existing Week 2 class choices were maintained. Cooking MB is full. District-wide Camporee. Sycamore Shoals State Park has been selected for the location but program details have not been finalized. Registration will be open soon on the Council Calendar. T-shirt design competition!! Attention all Cumberland Island Expedition XVI members. Please submit a T-shirt design. The winning design will be our Expedition T-shirt.
NASA Space Camp July 17-20 Pathfinder program. Only a few Openings Remaining
Non Refundable Registration Fee Due Now. Please consider this trip. Register on T48.org and pay a $100 nonrefundable deposit to Mr. Browning ASAP. We have a minimum trip size of 16 and a maximum of 25.
Philmont Cavalcade 2026
Cavalcade is Full. Please pay the $150 Deposit if you haven’t already. You can register for the waiting list in case someone drops. Please see Jerry Browning if you have interest. Must be Age 14-20, or 13 and completed 8th Grade by 7/5/2026. Philmont cost $1,365/person. There will be additional costs for transportation.
National Jamboree 2026, July 22-31, 2026. Ten fun days at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia with thousands of other scouts. Per person fee $1,560 plus Council costs. Look for registration on the Sequoyah Council website soon. First payment due in May 2025.
