Winter Camp (January 16-19): Be prepared
For those already registered (which has closed)
Won’t need stoves, patrol boxes and such. Limited Camp set up is necessary
Pack in your summer camp lock box.
During the 1/13 troop meeting, Tonya Lawrence will have a mandatory winter camp discussion for ALL attendees and their parents to determine transportation, housing, schedule, and expectations.
It’s too early to know the exact forecast, but being cold is certain. The camp watches the weather and will adjust accordingly if necessary for safety and will let you know if arrangements change.
The camp packing list:
– Multiple pairs of socks per day. Keeping your feet dry!! This is critical
Change your clothes especially socks before bed to stay warm.
– Bring extra shoes in case a pair gets wet.
– Remember layers in this order – wicking, warm, waterproof. Avoid cotton.
– You’ll need sleeping clothes.
– Water bottle is a must.
– Spending money for snacks or drinks gifts at the trading post.
Happy New Year
