David Kalil Eagle Scout Project: Hammock Hide-A-Way
Work days: June 25th and 26th, 8:00a.m-? Potential 27th if needed.
Camp Bays Mountain
1435 S’mores Trail, Kingsport, TN 37660
This will be the first of 2 hammock locations for the camp. They want a place for campers to get away from the noise of the camp. This area will have 6 hammocks under a tarp to provide a quiet place protected from the sun and rain.
The first day will consist of digging holes and setting 12 posts that will hold the hammocks and the tarp. This will be the longest of the work days.
The second day will consist of screwing in the hardware to hold the hammocks and tarp and stretching the tarp over the hammocks.
I will have an auger (for adult use) as well as other tools. I need help that is familiar with squaring and leveling. Other handy tools that we could use are shovels, drills/bits, screw drivers, levels.
Scouts that need transportation can arrange that with my mom. She needs your parent to contact her directly.
Pizza, Gatorade and water will be supplied each day.
Please let me know if you can help. I want to put together a list so that I can easily text any updates as needed.
