Nathan Browning was the winner of the local Chapter Sons of the American Revolution Arthur M. and Berdena King Eagle Scout
CONGRATULATIONS: NATHANIEL JONAS BROWNING
Arthur M. & Berdena King Eagle Scout Award was an AAA opportunity offered to Eagle Scouts who were registered in an active unit and have not reached their 19th birthday during the year of application.
To enter, an application consisting of a two-page application form, a four-generation ancestry chart, and a 500-word patriotic theme needed to be submitted to a local SAR Chapter, though in some cases, the competition was open for scouts to enter at the State SAR Society level.
Winners in the State competitions advance to the National contest with awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Places of $10,000, $6,000, and $4,000 respectively and awards of $500 for winners in 4th and 5th place with $200 going to winners in 6th to 10th place.
