Backpacking Introduction at Bays Mountain Park (May 18-19)
Assemble Saturday 8:00 AM at CHPC for backpack “shakedown” at CHPC. Inspect backpacks for all needed gear; if necessary, return home to acquire needed items. Depart by 10:00am

The Day Camp staff is looking for responsible scouts to serve as Den Chiefs and other staff positions. Volunteer to help with this Cub Scout Day Camp. Earn Service Hours, practice your leadership skills, and help shape future scouts. See Ms. Watts or Ms. White to volunteer
Cherokee NC Truck In, Friday, Jun 7 at 5:00 PM – Sunday, Jun 9 at 4:30 PM
Truck In camping at a beautiful mountain campground. Visit museums, possibly earn Indian Lore Merit Badge, see the famous “Unto These Hills” outdoor drama.

Seeking Merit Badge Counselor for Geology/Mining
Troop 48 needs an adult leader and/or parent with Youth Protection training and have skills and education in the merit badge subjects covered. Links to the requirements for Geology and Mining. There are scouts who would like to finish these merit badges from the NC Emerald Mine trips
