Reminder Pack 348 has AOL cross over at 6:00

Scout cards: Scouts earn  75% commission 

Scouts only have to sell just under 50 cards to pay for summer camp!

Patrol Duty!!! Rotation for : February

Be Prepared!  Every scout should have a pencil or pen at troop meetings.

Pack 348 Crossover (Tuesday, February 20 at 6:00PM)

OA members, please arrive at CHPC by 5:30pm if possible to help set up for the ceremony. Wear Class A’s with OA sash. Pack 348 has two Webelos crossing over to Troop 48.

Hawksnest Snow Tubing (Saturday, February 24 at 7:30AM)

Have a fun day snow tubing in the North Carolina Mountains. See the trip sheet for details.

Wilderness Road District Banquet (Thursday, February 29) 

Register on Sequoyah Council here. Cost is $20, partially funding the OA NOAC Trip in July. Please attend to help funding as well as recognize District Leaders.

Registration ends Thursday 2-22-2024.

Merit Badge University (Saturday, March 2 at Northeast State)

Class registration closes Sunday 2-18-2024, so if last minute interest in going, please contact Mr. Hasler NOW. Please DO NOT register on the council website as the council wants us to register as a troop.

Wilderness Road District Camporee (Saturday, March 23) 

Registration is open at Sequoyah Council here. Cost is $20, A fundraiser at this event will help the OA NOAC trip in July. Please plan to attend this high energy, fun activity. Hawaiian Theme – wear your best Hawaiian Shirt. Hawaiian themed dinner. Music, Games, Stem, Shooting, Frontier Camp. Camping available Friday and Saturday night at your own coordination.

Registration closes 3-11-2024 

Obed Truck in Camping, Hiking (Friday to Sunday April 5 – 7) 

Registration on T48.org is Open. Trip sheet and information on the Junior Ranger program. You can earn a patch. This trip replaces our traditional Back Bone Rock trip due to park closure. Rappelling, bouldering, hiking, fishing, and truck-in camping, all available.

Summer Camp (June 16-22) 

NOTE: There have been some changes in the class schedule. Please follow up with Mr. Hasler on your classes if you received notification that you were affected by the change.

Partial payment of $130 (including prior $25 deposit) is due now to Mr. Browning.

Register on T48.org to indicate preference for cabin, camp tent, hammock, or personal tent.

Hiking merit badge

Mr. Shone is leading this Eagle-required merit badge, which is now being pursued as an alternative to Swimming or Cycling. Three 10-mile and one 20-mile hikes remain to be planned and enjoyed.  Second adult leader is needed for each hike.

NEW YORK RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR

December 27 – 30, 2024

See New York City decorated for Christmas!! An excellent sightseeing tour of NYC is planned including Central Park, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Broadway, Times Square and many other sights in the “Big Apple”. Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral and watch ice skating and see the huge Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza! Ride to the Top of One World Trade Center! Take a boat tour on the Hudson River near Liberty Island to see The Statue of Liberty as well as Ellis Island!  Tour includes reserved seat tickets to Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular featuring the world famous Rockettes! Accommodations are located in the heart of the Theater District in Manhattan. What a way to start the Christmas Season!

DEPOSIT: $100 Per Person – trip needs 35 participants by Feb. 29th (very soon)

You need to register now and pay the $100 deposit to keep this trip alive.

Final Payment due by Nov. 27th, 2024. PRICE PER PERSON: Quad room split $1,410
