2023 change to Star rank requirement #6. With your parent or guardian, earn the Cyber Chip Award for your grade or view the Personal Safety Awareness videos (with your parent or guardian’s permission). The highlighted “or” used to be “and” was a record-keeping challenge since two different tasks were in the same requirement. Now for Star rank, you can do:
- Cyber Chip for high school (if appropriate grade): https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/cyber-chip/grades-9-12/
- Personal Safety Awareness videos: https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/scouts-bsa/
Troop 48 will take your parents’ word on the successful completion of this training.
Almost all of our current First Class rank scouts need this requirement.
