The Blessings Box pantry is running low. We request every scout to please bring 1 or 2 non-perishable food items if possible to our next meeting(s) with 81 scouts on our registration, this could refill our pantry. Thank you!

16th PLC 6:30 and Visitors from Pack 348- each patrol needs to be prepared to share a skill!
Please have your Road Race display!!!!
We will be helping with advancement needs: -Describe how the Scouts in the troop provide its leadership.
-Describe the four steps of Scouts BSA advancement.
•Leadership corps:
-Describe ranks in Scouting and how they earn merit badges.
-Describe what merit badges are and how they are earned.
Provide – some interesting fun activities
•Panther: Knife Demo
•Eagle: First aid Demo
•Flaming Arrow: Demo lashings.
•Wolf: Trips and how a Patrol works
•Phoenix: Camping Display.
•Fox: knots and rope Whipping and fusing proper rope care
Get signed up for August 23 Grayson Highlands :
Trip Plan: The trip consists of 2 parts: (A) Backpacking Trip This should NOT be your first backpacking trip without consideration. (~ 9 miles) from the Visitor Center parking lot at Massie Gap to the “Scales” area via part of the Appalachian Trail and the Wilson Creek Trail. Camping will be west of Third Peak. An excellent spring is about 200 yards south of the ridge/woods camping area. Trails are rated “moderate difficulty.” Meals will be prepared by patrols from their pre-planned menus. May use wood cooking fires and/or backpacking stoves. The trail route back is via the “Scales” and Big Wilson Creek Trail to the Grayson Highlands Campground.
(B) Truck-in Camping in the Grayson Highlands State Park Campground. Day hikes (Masse Gap & The Little Pinnacle) and blueberry picking are special activities available.
Great effort will go to hold Troop 48 Style campfires (if weather permits). Patrols should be prepared with stories, jokes, and songs to share. Troop 48 church services are planned for Sunday. Vehicle shuttles will be used between the Campground, Massie Gap, and

Having help from at least 2 from each patrol would be amazing, helping with handing out snacks, directions, and fellowship for those waiting.
•The Meet the Mountains festival is August 19-20 in Johnson City. Meet the Mountains is an outdoor festival with all of the outdoor groups represented. See Julie Keeton for more information
•Haunted woods adventure:
When: Saturday, Oct 29, 1-5 PM
What: Not So Scary Woods for kids
Why: Fundraiser for the Unicoi County Animal Shelter
Where: 3460 Hwy 75 (just past Boone Dam)Need: 5-7 scouts to help take candy to different locations through the woods and distribute candy to kids. If Raining: Sunday, October 30, 1-5 pm,
