What we do!
Tradition
For more than 75 years, Boy Scout Troop 48 has provided scouting opportunities for youth in the Colonial Heights area of Kingsport, Tennessee. We are sponsored by the Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church where we meet every week.
Leadership
Troop 48 provides excellent opportunities for scouts to develop and practice leadership skills. Activities are planned and coordinated by patrols and the Leadership Corps consisting of senior scouts.
Adventure
We have at least one outing every month and focus on skill development. We hike, camp, rock climb, canoe, shooting sports, ski, and more
There are also High Adventure outings to places like Cumberland Island, Philmont, Sea Base, and more.
Advancement
With over seventy adult leaders active in the troop, we have access to experts in many fields. Learn and do robotics, hiking, chemistry, aviation, rock climbing, welding, and more. With their help, you can find out what you do!
Service
We spend a collective hundreds of hours each year servicing others and the community. You can see our impact from a clean Warriors' Path State Park, organizing canned food drives for the needy, and completing Eagle Scout Projects.
