 y around to gain training and demonstration of Orienteering skills.\n\nGen
 eral plan is to cover First Class requirement #4a: Using a map and compass
 \, complete an orienteering course that covers at least one mile and requi
 res measuring the height and/ or width of designated items (tree\, tower\,
  ditch\, etc.).\n\n 	Needed by (MANY) scouts.\n\nAnd also Orienteering me
 rit badge\n\nReq. 2 - What is Orienteering?\nReq. 4 a.- 4 f. - Topographic
 al Maps (terrain features\, symbols\, declination\, orient map with compas
 s).\nReq. 5 - 100-Meter Pace Course\n\nReq. 9 - Older Scouts working on me
 rit badge\, Act as an official during the event.\n\n 	If you have particip
 ated in previous courses and need to officiate this is your opportunity.\n
