 lease RSVP me if you want to meet at Carver's Gap and hike. Because it is 
 a there-and-back trek\, the intent is to accommodate a range of physical a

   --   TRIP INFORMATION\n\nOUTING:  APPALACHIAN TRAIL HIKE – CARVERS 
 GAP TO Grassy Ridge Bald and back\, 5.0 MILES\n\n\nI.  Dates and Key Time
 s: Saturday \, July 12 8:00 a.m.\, meeting at CHPC parking lot.  We shou
 ld be back in Kingsport between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m.\, estimated. We will b
 e meeting up with members of the Hasbrouck family at the trailhead at 10:0
 0am.\n \nII.  Transportation Details and Adult Leader needs:\n\n·  Tr
 ansportation to Carvers Gap (leave vehicles and return to same location)\n
 ·  Hike the trail with Troop 48.\n\nDriving directions and Trail guide 
 to be provided.\n\nIII.  Trail plans: (Provided by Keith Hasbrouck).\nSta
 rt at Carvers Gap in Tenn\, where TN Highway 143 and NC Highway intersect 
 with Forest Service Road 1348.\nWe will be hiking east along the Appalachi
 an Trail\,with TN to our left (North) and NC to the right (South). During 
 this moderately difficult trek with a net elevation change of approx. 800 
 feet\, over open and rocky terrain\, we will traverse three balds. Turnaro
 und point is the third one - Grassy Bald which is approx. 2.5 miles from t
 he Carver’s Gap trailhead.\n\nDuring a rest break\,we will have the grou
 p in a devotional. In memory of Mr. Hasbrouck.\n\nIV.  Uniform Expectatio
