SUMMARY:Beginning Orienteering
DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy this Saturday afternoon outdoors and learn about Ori
 enteering\, maps\, and how to use a compass. This event will cover the bas
 ics of Orienteering as well as First Class Requirement 4a. It is a perfect
  opportunity for scouts wishing to begin and/or complete needed requiremen
 ts for the Orienteering Merit Badge\, as well as a First Class rank requir
 ement. The event will consist of about 1.5 hours of instructions followed 
 by a 100 meter pace course and running a beginner level Orienteering Cours
 e on Duck Island.  Follow up sessions will be offered periodically to hel
 p scouts complete all Merit Badge requirements.\n\n
