 cking List\nTrip consists of 2 parts:\n\n(A)  Backpacking Trip This shoul
 d NOT be your first backpacking trip without consideration. (~ 9 miles) fr
 om the Visitor Center parking lot at Massie Gap to the "Scales" area via p
 art of the Appalachian Trail and the Wilson Creek Trail.  Camping will be
  west of Third Peak.  An excellent spring is about 200 yards south of the
  ridge/woods camping area.  Trails are rated "moderate difficulty."  Mea
 ls will be prepared by patrols from their pre-planned menus.  May use woo
 d cooking fires and/or backpacking stoves.  The trail route back is via t
 he "Scales" and Big Wilson Creek Trail to the Grayson Highlands Campground
 .\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n(B) Truck-in Camping in the Grayson Highlands State Park C
 ampground.  Day hikes (Masse Gap &amp\; The Little Pinnacle) and blueberr
 y picking are special activities available.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nGreat effort wil
 l go to hold Troop 48 Style campfires (if weather permits).  Patrols shou
 ld be prepared with stories\, jokes\, and songs to share.  Troop 48 churc
 h services are planned for Sunday.   Vehicle shuttles will be used betwe
 en the Campground\, Massie Gap\, and Visitor Center parking lots.
